This karaoke machine comes equipped with 2 wired microphones out of the box.  There are two microphone inputs and you can place one microphone in the adjustable stand and have the other hold the microphone in their hands.  With the adjustable stand it makes it convenient for kids of many ages to use.  Little Pretenders recommend age group is 3-9 years old.

The majority of consumers rate this children’s karaoke machine highly.  Young kids aged from 3-7 years old especially seem to have great fun with this machine.  With the microphones it comes with there is no fighting among kids on whose turn it is to use it.  With the colors, lights, sounds, mobility ease kids are obsessed with performing and playing with this karaoke machine.  Is designed and made for kids and they sure seem to love playing with this unit.

As with most products there are some issues.  The primary complaints are listed below:

1. The microphones don’t pick up your voice very well.  You literally have to put your lips to the microphones to hear your voice.  Primary complaint seen.

2. Volume of either the music or voice is low when a device is plugged into the AUX port some consumers state

3. Microphone stand won’t stay in place for some users of this product.

4.  The usual product came damaged and with a defect.  Could be warehouse and shipping issues mostly.

Overall Impression

If you are expecting a great sounding karaoke machine when purchasing the Little Pretender Karaoke Machine then I would suggest looking for another unit!

What you can expect with this unit is for the kids who use or play with this to have hours of fun though.  Kids seem to love this karaoke machines features such as lights, sound effects, handle to carry unit around effortlessly.

We feel the Little Pretender Karaoke Machine would make a perfect gift for kids between the ages of 2-7 years old.  With the 2 microphones it comes with there should be less fighting among the kids on whose turn it is or that someone is hogging the karaoke machine.  This unit is very light and easy for kids to carry from place to place so that could be a blessing and curse for some parents…LOL.

As for some of the issues with this machine as we stated above shouldn’t cause you too much grief in our opinion.  Most kids put their mouths to the microphone anyways and this unit is pretty much a toy for them so it should be no big deal.  Also sound wise it could be a good thing for parents that this children’s karaoke machine isn’t too overly loud.  Could cause a lot less headaches for some parents.  But compared to other kids karaoke machines the sound quality is good from what I have heard personally. People have to realize this is for very young kids and that’s pretty much it.  If you are looking for a karaoke machine for the family I would suggest looking for something else like the Singtrix Party bundle or the Karaoke USA GF842.
